Tenets
of Faith and Doctrine
TNT Ministries accepts all the canonical books of the Old
and New Testaments as a whole, and in all their parts, as
the divinely inspired, revealed, and inerrant Word of God.
TNT Ministries submits to this as the only infallible
authority in all matters of faith and life, to which
nothing can be added or taken away (II Timothy 3:16, I
Thessalonians 2:13, Matthew 4:4)
THEREFORE:
I. We believe that God is the infinite, eternal Creator of
the Universe Who has revealed Himself as one God, yet three
Persons -- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. With
the Son and the Spirit, the Father created the entire seen
and unseen creation, including man, in six days. (Genesis
1:1-2:3, Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 9:6, John 14:26)
According
to Their eternal plan, the Father sent the Son into the
world to be born under the Law. By His sinless, obedient
life, death, resurrection, and ascension, the Son freed us
from the guilt and power of sin. He has made full payment
for all transgressions, and has overcome sin, death, and
hell. He has opened to us free access to the Father
purchased healing, and redeemed us from all spiritual
bondage through His cross. As glorious victor over
principalities and powers, He shares the spoils of His
victory with His Church. After His ascension to the right
hand of the Father, He sent the promised Holy Spirit. (John
1:29, I John 3:8, Galatians 3:13-14)
II. We believe that all matters of faith in life, in the
hearts of those who come to believe and live eternally in
Christ, are the sole work of the Holy Spirit; a gift of God
separate from works of man. He is the conviction of sin,
the worker of the new birth, the sanctifier of the
believer’s heart and life to bring about personal
growth in faith, worship, service, and holiness of life.
The Holy Spirit calls and gathers the Church through the
Gospel; which Gospel He desires to confirm in signs and
wonders. The Spirit was poured out so that believers would
receive power to witness in word and deed. (Ephesians 2:8,
John 3:3-8, I Thessalonians 5:23, I Corinthians 1:30, John
14:12 )
III. We believe that Christ has commissioned His Church
today and has given it the same authority and power as was
given to the disciples in the New Testament Church to
proclaim the fullness of God’s Kingdom, to heal all
manner of diseases, and deliver from unclean spirits. We
profess the gifts of the baptism in the Holy Spirit,
promised by our Savior as the very power and presence of
God Himself in our life and ministry. We believe that all
the promised gifts of the Holy Spirit are being poured out
on the Church today. (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-18, Acts
1:5-8, 2:1-4, 19:1-7, I Corinthians 12:1-11, Romans 12:6-8)
IV. We believe in water baptism of the believer, “in
the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy
Spirit”, according to Matthew 28:18-19, and “in
Jesus name” according to Acts 2:38.
V. We believe that the Lord’s Supper is for the born
again believer, and that according to the Scriptures (Luke
22:19-20 and I Corinthians 11:23-26), Christ’s body
and blood is in fact spiritually offered with bread and the
cup of the fruit of the grapevine.
VI. We believe that provision is made in the redemptive
work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the
physical body, and that prayer for the sick and anointing
with oil are taught in the Scriptures, and are privileges
for the Church in this present age. (Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew
8:17, James 5:13-15, I Peter 2:24)
VII. We believe that apostles, prophets, evangelists,
pastors, and teachers are Christ’s gifts to the
Church and exist today. Their call is from God and without
repentance (for a lifetime). (Ephesians 4:8-11, Romans
11:29)
VIII. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the head of
the Church – His body of believers. (Colossians 1:18,
Ephesians 1:22-23)
IX. We believe in the personal, bodily return of the Lord
Jesus Christ for His Church. He will come again in power
and glory to judge the living and the resurrected from the
dead. Those who believe in Him shall be granted eternal
life with Him in Heaven, while those who did not believe in
Him shall be sent to an eternal Hell of punishment and
torment. (Acts 1:9-11, I Thessalonians 4:16-17, Mark 16:16,
Romans 2:5-8)
